We’ve seen the Norwegian physicist that puts his life on the line to prove physics before. Yesterday a new episode came out, where he stands in front of a moving 1-tonne wrecking ball.

Oh, and car site. Have a Volvo 740 with enough rear lights.

I thought all Volvo drivers were supposed to use their rear foglights at all times?
I mean, the whole “New England Professor” stereotype is ancient. This one is more accurate.
Honorable mention: Mercedes
Solution: Manufacturers should stop equipping US cars with rear foglights

Exactly my thoughts when I watched it as well. They had real problems with getting the ball rotating around a fixed point. Just a couple of cm of movement and he would’ve been squeezed.

Or maybe American drivers should just educate themselves instead of being ignorant. In the snowy north rear fog lights would be awesome and I wish more cars were available with them.

Black Science Man has also done this.

I modified both of my cars to use them — the Euro models had them originally, but they took them off for the US :D
Although I only use them 5-10 times a year, I live on a mountain with heavy fog and glad to know that I have it.
People are just too unaware of their switches and dials. It amazes me.

I don’t think I could stand there and wait for the wrecking ball to come back. He looked pretty nervous waiting for it, and pretty relieved when he was able to get out of the way.

I mean, I have to give the guy credit where it’s due. Still though, that’s just too much.
